COURSE DESCRIPTION:

The 20 Miler is a USATF Sanctioned Run and held completely on the bike path in the Busse Woods Forest Preserve. It is a paved bike path on a mostly flat course. The path is mostly shaded and there are permanent bathrooms scattered all along the course. The course runs by the famous Elk Herd and on any given day, path users can see deer, foxes, and other woodland creatures.

The course for the 20 Miler is an out and back style. Runners will start by going out and back south, towards Higgins Road and then to Biesterfield Road before coming back to the start/ finish area (at the 10 Mile mark) and heading out and back to the north, with a turnaround point (mile 15) adjacent to Golf Road.
